The Team
Originally from the Netherlands with a military background, Tjeerd brings discipline, leadership, and adaptability to the role. As a experienced diving instructor with four years of experience in Bali, his passion for the underwater world is matched by a strong commitment to environmental awareness.
With a degree in Environmental Science, coupled with four years of successful dive center management, Chris brings a special blend of expertise to the team. Born in New Zealand, and living around the globe his diverse cultural background enriches his passion for meeting new people. While fostering sustainable diving practices, he thrives on creating memorable, and educational experiences for all, while ensuring the preservation of our precious marine ecosystems.
With six years as a seasoned flight attendant, Soobin has a unique perspective and dedication to customer service. Originating from South Korea, Her warm and welcoming personality complements her passion for the diving industry and ocean conservation. Eager to transition her skills to a role where she can combine her love for people with her commitment to preserving our oceans.
Affectionately known as Bebek, which is actually Indonesian for Duck, Nengah is our friendly face that greets guests and looks after the headquarters. Working in hospitality for nearly a decade Nengah has developed the required skills to learn how to understand what a guest needs. With her kind, witty, bright, yet precise demeanor she likens herself with a Pineapple, crowned on the outside and sweet in the middle. If you would love to find out how she got her nickname, Bebek would love to tell you when you join us at Salty Finns Diving Bali.
Komang Mahayani is Salty Finns trainee Dive Master, working her way up in the industry over the years she has earned her chance to join the male orientated dive guides and show them what a young Balinese woman can do. Komang is originally from the neighbouring Padang Bai and she is joining her father and brothers with a career on the water. Let Komang show you some of Bali’s best diving when you are here next and her big infectious smile is sure to work its magic on you.

Situated at the heart of the Indonesian archipelago, Bali also serves as an ideal launchpad to explore other renowned destinations, like the Komodo Islands to see dragons, or Sumatra and Kalimantan to spot orang-utans.
